Local teams also coming to support the awesome sparring event will be... Valor Training Center, Chai Yo Muay Thai Academy, Jaguar Muay Thai, California Boxing/MMA, Siam Boxing Gym Sit Thongsai Camp, Roots Kickboxing, Muay Thai Lao Kickboxing-Academy, Oakdale-Merced Sonora MmaEvolution Training Center, Antioch Muay Thai Academy, 8 Limbs Muay Thai, Deleotega Muay Thai, Round 5 Fitness, Precision Strikers, KOA Fitness, FTX, Liahona Martial Arts,Phas3 Martial Arts, Team Dynasty, World Team USA, So come out and JOIN the FUN, this will be an all day event and following that we will have a get together hosted by Pin N Strikes who will be bringing in a band for our entertainment.

These events are designed for upcoming Muay Thai students to have the opportunity to gain experience of what the Amateur level of competition will consist of and also training for NEW referee, judges, timekeepers for the IKF to recruit, we should all support for you are the future of Muay Thai and can make a difference in our students lives and the Muay Thai community. It was a fun tournament and a learning curve for many here on the Southeast Coast as they are discovering the great benefits of IKF Point Muay Thai Kickboxing Action. We want to help change the mindset that the IKF PKB is only for adults. As they know well in CA, FL and other areas across the United States that the IKFPKB is a great incubator for kids and we hope to start seeing more kids competing in our events! Results below...

IKF Champions To Clash
Head To Head
At This Friday Nights GLORY 19 In Virginia

Two big IKF Super Stars will go "Head to Head" against each other this weekend in what will be an exciting Heavyweight match-up. Three time IKF Amateur Champion Xavier Vigney of Pleasant Hill, California, USA (P: 5-1/5, A: 9-1/4, 246, 6'8", 24) trained by Dan Black will meet up against Two Time IKF World Classic Champion (2012, & 2011) Everett Sims of Lafayette, Louisiana, USA (4-1/1, AMMA: 4-0/2, 254.2, 6'5", 24).

Vigney's first IKF title was the IKF Amateur Modified Muay Thai Rules California Super Heavyweight title he won on April 30th, 2011 on one of Johnny Davis' AK Promotions' events, "Rumble In The Valley". Vigney defeated Manuel Mancha by TKO at 1:17 of round 4.

If not for Johnny Davis' Promotions, it's possible no one would have seen his talent. That's because Davis promoted all three of Vigney's IKF title bouts.

His next IKF title was the IKF Amateur Modified Muay Thai Rules United States Super Heavyweight title. He won this one on July 1st, 2011 in Sacramento, California, USA, again, on one of Davis' AK Promotions when he defeated previous Champion John Hurney by unanimous decision, 49-44 on all 3 judges cards. He successfully defended this title on September 2nd, 2011, on another AK Promotions event when he defeated Matt King by unanimous decision 50-45 on all 3 judges cards.

Vigney's biggest win though was his IKF Amateur Modified Muay Thai Rules Super Heavyweight World title. Once again, Davis' AK Promotions promoted the fight on February 19th, 2012 in Oakland, California, USA. It was there that Vigney defeated Leagh Rogers of Woodruff, South Carolina, USA by Knock Out at 1:35 of round 1. The IKF retired this title when he turned Pro on September 8th, 2012 winning his pro debut by TKO of round 2.

This will be Sim's Pro debut while for Xavier, it will be his 7th Pro bout after an impressive 9-1 amateur record. Although Sims is a two time IKF World Classic Champion, he's been more active in MMA as of recently. This may be the reason for losing his IKF World Classic title this past year. Or a change of trainers can do that to you as well.

Sims was 5-1 as an Amateur MMA fighter and enjoyed his first Pro MMA win back on October 24th over Frank Tate by a Guillotine Choke at 2:07 of round 1.

At weigh-ins today Vigney came in at 242 lbs while Sims came in at 249.5.



Glory 19 is scheduled to take place this Friday, February 6, 2022 at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia, USA. The event was originally announced and scheduled to be held on December 19, 2014. However, in late November 2014, the promotion announced it would be delayed until February 2015. This event will feature a "Glory" Heavyweight Title between Rico Verhoeven and Errol Zimmerman. The event will also feature a Middleweight fight between California's Joe Schilling VS Robert Thomas. The event will also feature a 4-Man Welterweight Contender Tournament to earn a title shot for the Glory Welterweight Title.
